Much has happened on our journey since the last time we have found time to use the internet extensively. First, we added Becky Berberich to our wolf pack. First it was just Anna and I in the wolf pack, but now it has expanded to three. And tonight Dana Clark will join us and I will think, "Could it be?"
The Hangover? We have spent a lot of time quoting funny things...
The Reader's Digest version of recent events:
1. Germany is the best. We never want to leave.
2. One of the reasons that Germany is the best, besides the beer, is that Lukas Reisinger is an unbelievable tour guide/friend/translator. We got to go for a hike in the alps. Us overweight americans nearly had a heart attack, but the view was absolutely worth it. He also took us to the best night club ever. And by the best night club ever, I mean that everyone wheres leiderhosen (i do not know how to spell that) and dances to very loud German techno. It was a phenomenal cultural snack.
3. I supposedly have the chicken pox. No one has any idea how this could have happened, but the doctor I saw (once again, Lukas and his amazing translation skills) and he seemed pretty convinced. It was weird. Anna and Becky were just relieved that my complaining had been legit. My hypochondria was beginning to set in, so I told them that in the event of my death they would be left out of my will for lack of sympathy. That'll teach 'em.
4. Prague is the worst. We were once again completely ripped off by a taxi driver. Also, the hostel that we stayed in was completely disgusting. We were in a 25 person dorm and when i woke up at 4:30 in the morning to pee someone commandeered my bed. I thought of waking him up and saying, "enjoy your chicken pox, a******," but I sat in the lobby for 5 hours until Anna and Becky woke up and then caught an afternoon train out of there instead. Because we got to Berlin a night early and our hostel was booked, so we stayed in a Holiday Inn Express. This lead to many jokes like, "I may have no idea where we are, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night." It has not gotten old.
There are probably many details that I neglected to include, but it's time for a nap and I'm sure that you, dear reader, do not have time for all of the dirty deets.

carrie That sucks prague was lame. I really wanted to visit there. I will definitely not stay in a hostel if i go. i never want to do europe super cheap again!
Elise hostels with more than even 10 people in a room are no good. your travels are amusing - can't wait to swap more stories when you return. do you miss real, clean towels? having clean feet? not wearing essentially the same outfit every day?
