On the beach, we met up with Sam and Lauren again and made plans to meet up for drinks tonight, as they move on tomorrow. We spent a relaxing few hours on the beach, soaking up the sun and cooling off in the water. On the way back to the hostel we visited an information stand and booked tickets for a sunset cruise for tomorrow night - should be fun!
After a quick shower and change, Dave and I went to the 6pm welcome meeting (Kelly wasn't ready!) and enjoyed our free glass of wine…didn't really get anything else out of it as the girl doing it was Swedish, very nervous, and couldn't speak much English! We did get chatting to a Scottish bloke who was very funny though.

We ate in the bar in the hostel as we didn't get around to going to the supermarket. It was really busy as it is open to the public and very popular due to the cheap drinks, so Kelly ended up waiting an hour for her food!

We were soon joined by Sam, Lauren and Mel - another girl from their hostel. We spent a few hours with them in the bar before we all decided to go buy some wine at a bottle shop in town and go to the beach to drink it in the dark. It ended up being a lovely end to the night and involved lots of in-depth conversations and paddling in the sea! A brilliant first day in Noosa!
