The last blog was suppoesed to say New York, not Boston sorry!!
The train to Boston was very scenic, lovely beached along the coast. Arrived at the hostel after a pretty painless journey via subway! In a dorm with 4 other people and shared bathrooms on each floor but its ok! The day we got here (18/7) we dumped our bags and set off exploring Boston. We walked to the Theatre District and Boston Common and had a burger and rack of ribs in Remingtons Irish Bar! On our way back we stopped off at an Irish bar-Lir-for a drink only to discover they had Magners on draught (you can see the theme off these blogs already!!!)
Headed back to the hostel and met our room mates-they were having a drink in the room and invited us to join them so we obloiged as we didn't want to be rude!! We later found out that it is against the law!!
Got up early to beat the queues for the shower (6.30am) then got back into bed! Went to the MIT museum and then headed to Harvard university with our new friend Terry from Stockport!! Done the unofficial tour of Harvard ran by the students and it was really good! Grabbed a subway and ate it on Harvard yard in the sunshine!
Stay tuned for our next installment!!
Here we are again!!
So the last full day we spent in Boston we done a thing called the Freedom Trail-which is basically a walk that takes in all the historic parts of Boston. It took us about 4 hours to do because there were so many places that you could investigate further. We're not really historic buffs but it was interesting!! We then went to a big market hall for tea and strolled home. Next stop is New York so check out pur next blog!!
