The dorm was freezing last night. Kept waking up. will need to add some more layers for next time.
Woke up nice and early (everyone else was fast asleep) to go to the Jurong Bird Park. Didnt really know what to expect but it was great. Birds from all over the world, all colours, shapes, sizes. They had a big penguin enclosure and we watched one of the guys feeding them. Laura took so many pics. She was loving the Penguiins....
We traded in one of the coupons to get a free fresh water pearl. They actually cut it out of the shell in front of us. We had it set in a pendant as well for a low price. Great souvineer for us. Hope we dont lose it!
Then back for food and shower and off to the Night Safari. Was dark when we got there and as soon as we got off the bus there was an African feel with all the statues, trees, actors etc.
We started on the walking trail and each enclosure was dimly lit to look like moonlight which was cool. The animals were a lot more lively too. Looked like natural surroundings as well as it was bushes, ditches and other natural barrirs that mainly kept us apart. We then boarding a tram with a guide which was a more indepth look at the animals. We saw many deer, lions, wolves, hyenas, elephants, giraffe, wilderbeast, otthers and so many more. It was a really awesome experience. And it goes through the last Rainforest left in Malasya which was cool. Definately a great night.
