I'm currently drafting this blog on my first leg of the trip, a short flight to Toronto. Then one more flight into Heathrow.

I booked this trip on a whim, only two weeks ago! No planning, and certainly no saving for it. Going to Europe has been something I had thought about for years, but never thought I'd ever go. When opportunities presented themselves, and life's events pushed me to do something just for myself, I couldn't think of a better time to go.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling my nerves right now, but I am excited to see things in person that I've only seen in pictures or movies.

First up, London. I'm lucky enough to be taken in by two old friends from high school, and a new friend as well, on my first night in town, before I join my tour group.
