8th September: At breakfast we met Brody who was joining our group for the next part of the tour and he came with us for the day. We walked 45minutes along the coast to the shopping centre, that I went to the previous day, spilt up to shop for an hour or so and then met up for sushi (I had Thai green curry!). This morning we arrived in Lima, dropped our bags off at the hotel and was finally reunited with Tobias, who had been in Quito getting a new passport. We all took the bus straight into the centre of the city. We walked around the main square and through the main shopping area. 6th September I saw a sign for bacon the day before so I led everyone there for breakfast. It was amazing, everyone was able to order all the food they were craving so everyone was very happy. We then went to see some pre inca ruins. The city of Moche, where the Moche people lived from 150-800AD. They made their temples and homes out of mud bricks and every one hundred years they filled in the old with mud bricks and built a new, bigger temple ontop. The origin...

5th Sep We arrived in Huanchaco at 9am and luckily our rooms were ready. Very quite day spent at the hotel playing ping pong and with the pet tortoise, on the beach sunbathing and reading. Watched the surfing competition and saw the traditional fishing boats of Huanchaco called Caballitos de totora (little reed horse).
