This morning we arrived in Lima, dropped our bags off at the hotel and was finally reunited with Tobias, who had been in Quito getting a new passport. We all took the bus straight into the centre of the city. We walked around the main square and through the main shopping area. As we got to the presidents house there was a changing of the guards; a big brass band performed and there were 50+ guards. We went for lunch in china town and then headed back to the hotel.
As soon as we got back to the hotel I went with Denis, Lara, Christine and Kirsten back into town so I could look for a new back pack whilst they got tattoos done. Denis and I walked across the city but finally found a hiking shop and I bought a backpack!
In the evening we went to a very traditional Peruvian restaurant for our last dinner with the original group! It was sad saying bye to Denis as he'd been the perfect guide.
