Day 10: before breakfast we went to find out about the water activities available. Nicole, Ellen, Darinka and I chose to go swimming with sea turtles.
After a few hours sun bathing we went to the activities office where our guide, David, picked us up and took us to a small fishing village called Nuro. We waited on the pier for a bit watching the pelecans fight over the fisherman's scraps and some birds diving into the sea for fish. We then took a boat ride from one side of the pier, around the boats and back to the other side of the pier, completely pointless but hilarious. After 10 minutes it went from a couple of turtles to 10+. They were so friendly but it was quite scary as they would come out of know where and we're huge, 4ft+! All of us were screaming every time they swam under us so we ended up standing on them or they would just swim right into your side. It was so funny. We swam with them for at least half an hour and then took the boat back to the other side of the pier.
After another beautiful sun set, we went to a Peruvian-Asian fusion restaurant for dinner. I had a red Thai prawn curry and it was the best meal I've had so far, and a very large class of wine (at least half a bottle) for £2! Some of us then went back to the bar on the beach and ended up chatting to some people from Chile.
