So we have arrived in Thailand!!
We got to Bangkok after only a 4 hour flight from China and then had a connecting flight straight to Koh Samui.
We landed in Koh Samui early evening in a cute little hut airport. We got our bags and headed straight for the guesthouse we had already booked. We arrived around 9, changed our clothes and went straight out for the full moon party!
We met a couple from England on the boat over to the beach so spent our time with them. I think due to a mixture of just arriving in a new place, tiredness from the flight, and it not looking like one of the busier ones, the full moon party wasnt as crazy as i thought it would be. There were still lots of people. And lots of drinking but not as crazy as i had imagined. Still had a pretty good time though. And the buckets were strong!!
We spent a couple of days in Koh Samui, staying in Penzys guesthouse. We had a tour of the island one day which included going to see the grandmother and grandfather rocks, seeing the mummified monk, going to some pretty waterfalls in the mountains, riding on top of a jeep!, going to a magic garden, seeing the big buddah, having a quick elephant treck, seeing a monkey and elephant show, and we were even brave enough to hold some massive spiders!!
We have had to move around alot so far in Thailand as there has been lots of rain so it has made it hard for us to do too much but we have tried to make the most of the sunny days. So far we have been to Krabi, Puket, Aou Nang, and Phi Phi to try and avoid the rain but it seems to be everywhere!
On the second morning of Phi Phi we were due to go back to Ao Nang but it was raining so hard they werent running the boat so we asked if we could swap our ticket for Puket. At first they said no but then after a while they seemed to be getting everyone onto the boat so we tried again and they let us on. The boat was rammed with people so we think they were trying to get as many people out as possible as they thought something bad was going to happen! And it looks like everywhere we have left so far has flooded so we are glad we kept moving!
Moved on to Bangkok for a couple of days which was nice. In Chang mai now for a 5 day tour which should be good. And there hasnt been any rain for a couple of days!!
Peace out xxx
