So.... we arrived in one piece after our super 11 hour flight!!! laura just about managed to put on her own bag! met a really nice girl called Jess and a kiwi woman who let us use all of her toiletries. got a taxi to ko san road which is unbelieveable, full of thai's selling random crap and it smells (not too sweet). gonna have to get used to it! we were greeted at our hostel by Tim (guy from uni). got showered (we stank!!!) and changed and then headed out. went to a bar that was an old petrol station for a few beers (lucy still wont drink the stuff even though it costs 50p!) got a tuk tuk and lived to tell the tale to an awesome restaurant which we couldnt find but managed to get assistance from a millionare guy from the USA who sorted us out with the right train and paid for it! neece one! had dinner at this funky restaurant which is full of beds and couches for you to chill on whilst eating your 3 course dinner. Laura and Tim had a shot of oyster (managed to keep it down - just!) Tim spilt the entirety of his duck on himself and the white sofa - the waitress nearly had a heart attack! after that we went to a ping pong show (apparently you just have to see one!) to cut a long story short, these women danced to the Dj's tunes whilst performing magic tricks with their girlie bits (not their boobs!) this included ping pong balls, flowers, string, blowing a horn and laying an egg which the fat one made tim catch!!! funny!!! one of them decided to shoot a banana out of you know where and she aimed directly at lucy and hit her in the back as she ran away! slightly traumatised but funny! (sorry parents but had to tell the story). awesome night! got up early this morning tim has managed to be the perfect tour guide and we have been on a thai boat with just the 3 of us on, fed the fish, seen the enormous reclining buddah and some temples and been to a huge shopping mall! (elephant trecking we are going to save until we get to ko samui) gonna grab some dinner and then get packed up for the 15 hour bus journey!!! hope you are all good. love and miss u lots. loving being here though - its awesome. p.s. we tried to go to the royal palace and it is the one day of the year that its closed! we have also arrived on the two hottest days so far this year! xxx
