Sawadee folks....well then it is our last few hours in bangkok before hop on board our luxury!!!! train to Chang Mai!!

We've had the funniest 3 days ever in Bangkok!!!

On friday which was are first proper day, we headed out and jumped on the number 215 bus (with no ide where it would take us) and just got off anywhere!! The bus had wooden floors, and its own state of the art air conditioning, which even are buses dont have!! The driving here is also amazing, i dont think u even take a driving test (leanne this is your type of city) they use no indicators and just cut each other up on the road. The buses, taxis and tuk tuks just cross three lanes to stop for someone..very surprised that we have seen no accidents. We have even mastered the art of crossing the road, you just have to walk ouy and thery slow down for you, if not u wud be there forever.

We managed to walk around the city doing about 6 miles, and jumping on and off buses and subways. Saw most touristy things today, saw a few temples, the reclining buddha which was amazing and walked through china town. All the streets are lined with street vendors selling food, fruit, drinks and skinned animals...lovely!!!

Once we finally got areselves home about teatime, we where back out at 9 to go and meet my friend Karen who is over here with her boyfriend Kevin for some QUITE drinks down Kao san road...but as we dont know the meaning of a few drinks, it got a bit messy with is sitting in mcdonalds until 5 in the morning with the local vagrants!! We ended up goin round koh san road for a few drinks, some irish bar with a live band (sharon i have a lovely rendition of bleeding love for you on video) and Karen insisted we go down to Patpong to get her a ladyboy. Was an experience, bit like amsterdam, but not as bad....Leanne and Collette you would of loved it.

We arranged our Traditional Thai Massage for the next morning, we woke up with 5 minutes to get down there. This was an experience in its self, amongest other things that happened during the session which i will tell you if you ask, i had a little thai woman walk over my back. You all know i bruise like peach, so i was in a bit of pain...i felt abused after my experience!!! I think she was doing it on purpose as we where late and probably wreaking of tequila!!

Rest of the day was abit of a wash out, we went back to bed for a little nap, and woke up 5 hours later. So we didnt head out until 5pm booked our trains up to chang mai, had tea, then headed down the river and jumped on a really chokka boat down the to the pier by Kho san road. It felt like the boat would sink at any minute ...steph didnt enjoy the experience, but she survived!!!

Headed back to Khoa san road for a few more drinks, and that was it for tonite, we are starting to look like locals, all i need now is my dreads!!!

Well today is our last day in bangkok so we sunbathed on our rooftop pool of our hotel, forgetting that it is 35 degrees, we thought it best not to put suncream on if we wanted to achieve our brit abroad tan, and we passed with flying colours (picture coming shortly)!!!!

Anyway folks, were off to get our train soon, so i will post some pictures in abit. Some scary german keeps staring at me as he wants my computer so i had best go!!!
