A short flight from Cairns took us to our final destination in Australia...BRISBANE, throughout our trip this place had received mixed reviews from our fellow travellers so we were intrigued to see this place for ourselves to make our own mind up about Brisbane.
First of all, the hostel we stayed in was definitely the weirdest hostel of the trip so far. I am 99% certain that it was a converted insane asylum that had not even been repainted as the majority of the decor was hospital green and white. It was also a very old building, and as most people know me and old buildings do not gel together well.
We wanted to make the most of our short stay in Brisbane so headed to the bridge to walk across the harbour while Beth went to a museum me and Beth decided to stroll and see the pagoda and walk through Brisbane gardens. After that we had to head to the airport for our flight out of Australia, where we had a lot of time to kill so decided to attempt to occupy Hannah by making her play games like how many items could she buy with her lose change.
After that we were boarding our flight to New Zealand to begin the next leg of our journey.
We had an incredible (and expensive) month in Australia, some of the times there I will not ever forget Fraser Island, Whitsundays, Whitehaven Beach, Sydney Harbour, Bondi Beach...Australia is an amazing country that I feel so priviledged to have been able to experience with Hannah and Beth.
