This picture is my great family without Laura and Eric because they are working back in San Diego.
I wanted to add in one more thing to our blog about growing up in Baltimore. Maryland is definitely crab land. When we were growing up, we used to keep kosher in our home. My mother would take us outside and set up a table with newspaper on it for us to be able to have crabs! Since it was outside of the home I guess we all thought it was ok to have crabs outside the house and be kosher inside the home. Hah!!!
Sooo this is leading up to my high school best friend, Carol Swan! When we were in high school we would go fishing with her dad on his boat on the Chesapeake Bay! It was heaven for me. We did it frequently and loved our days on the water!
Now in 2015, many years later, Carol is still on the bay but in a home by the water with her husband Gerald. She couldn't escape her true love...Water!
While visiting Maryland, she and her husband invited Gary, Hop, and me to her home for an amazing Maryland dinner! Crabs! Crab cakes, salad, roasted veggies and fruit! We sat outside looking at the sun going down behind the clouds while eating our crabs and sharing stories. It was a memorable evening that we truely won't forget! Everytime I go into her home, I am reminded of those days on the water that will always be etched in our memories forever.
I feel very grateful and blessed for the times we share with good friends, past friends, new friends, and family!!! It has been an amazing journey to reconnect with friends and family all around the country!
Thanks to all of you! We love you!
