I had a pretty good sleep although we got to Koh Tao at 5 am. It was dark when we got there so brought a coffee from 7-eleven (and I splashed half of it up my arm because my rucksack had slipped from my shoulder to the crook of my arm). We sat in the waiting area because we couldn't get in to the hostel until 8 am, and met a Parisian girl who was also staying in Soiree Beach- she was going to walk when it got light so we joined her. It was a fairly long way to walk with our rucksacks!
We left our bags to check out prices for scuba diving courses- we thought the one we chose had the friendliest staff. We then checked in and went back to nearby the pier to the supermarket. We had a shower and had lunch, then hit the beach, although it turned a bit cloudy as we did so.
I'd seen pork buns like the green one I had last night and I had one for tea, followed by very, very sticky rice with banana (they had run out of mangoes and I put far too much of the sauce on) and Alice had fried noodles with shrimp and soy sauce.
