Helped Penny with the breakfast today- so much better than cleaning toilets! So much more sociable and less sweaty and you get the bonus of eating as much toast as you want, and getting to keep the crusts that would otherwise be thrown out, although you don't get to keep left toiletries from the bathrooms. It was nice to have my last cleaning shift- no more getting sweaty! I met Alice, and we went to the supermarket, getting sidetracked by the frozen yoghurt and toppings stall opposite. I had training at work at 4.30 (which wasn't really training, just a checklist of what I know and have been shown) and then carried on working until 9.30 because it got really busy tonight for some reason. Tonight we went out for a Balinese meal to celebrate Bex's birthday. The table was booked for 8, and so I had to clean quite quickly so I could sneak off early from cleaning the bathrooms (although it normally takes less than the 3 hours it's supposed to anyway). I'm glad I had my training after having a few shifts, as I had just been getting quite settled and then some of the stuff Alan said made me a bit nervous, like when he asked if I had had any bar training, and I replied no he said "honestly, why does Josh hire some of these people". Quite a lot of the stuff he was saying was just a repeat of the online training, but there was also some new things like nodding whilst offering extras make them more likely to agree...

There was a fire alarm at about 4am this morning, so everyone was very happy about that! Luckily it was just a false alarm. I was supposed to have training at work today at 9.30, but Josh hadn't reminded Alan of it, and so it got postponed until tomorrow. Whilst in town, I stocked up on tuna (can try more flavours and get some much needed protein), got a refund on the extra top I brought for working at Driftin' and got some more Vodaphone credit.
