First stop on the drive today was at Haast's Blue Pools, which you had to walk a 30 minute round trip to get to. On the way back, the woman from a French couple exclaimed "oh! We have your book". We used the showers at what I think was a campsite. You had to pay $2 for 4 minutes, and I was quite chuffed that I managed to wash my hair in that time. The man who ran it was very nice and boiled the kettle so we could have a cup of coffee/ tea. There weren't that many interesting things about today as all we did was drive. We weren't sure of our route, but Alice went to the I-site to gather information about South Island, and then we went to the supermarket, where a German man tapped on the window whilst I was phoning mum and dad to ask if I spoke German.
