We have made it Paris! (Pronounced: P-air-y).
Getting here was a little hectic however.
When we arrived at the London train station, we realized the ticket was dated for the day before. Worried, we rushed to the ticket service and told a lady our dilemma. She talked to her manager but was told we had to purchase new tickets worth 130 British pounds each. That's about $200 per person! Very expensive! Sad, one sister started to tear up and excused herself. Needless to say, this broke the lady's heart. She brought 3 other female workers and began discussing our situation in French. In the end we were able to get the tickets for only 34 british pounds overall. Thank you lady for your kindness!
The fast train was just that, fast. Although we went underwater, one sister refused to stay awake to witness the journey. Once in France the scenery was beautiful! The grass was green, the houses were old and had red roofs, and you could see a church in every town.
We walked about 20 minutes to our hostel where, to our delight, we found we were to be roomed together in a double instead of a dorm room. The room is small but quaint. It has a sink and a huge window that we can lean out of. Really pretty!
The rest of today has been filled with walking, getting lost walking, and reading in parks. For dinner we had baguette with salami and cheese. Delicious!
Now Roci is putting 2 flag patches on my backpack. One of England and the other of France. She's giving me a flag for every country we visit! She spoils me!
