Cochabamba was definitely prettier than La Paz... Arrived early after the night bus and went on an open top bus trip around the city. Saw lots of the sights, but as the commentary was in Spanish we probably missed a bit!! Cochabamba has its own Cristo overlooking the city, which actually is the biggest in South America, bigger than the one in Rio. Spent the afternoon walking up to it, where there were brilliant views over the city. Spent the evening having a nice meal and then went bowling! I then went home but mark went out to a bar with another guy on the trip, coming in at 4am waking me up!!
Next day was spent just walking around waiting for another night bus... Bleurgh! This was defintiely an experience...! One girl decided not to look for the note about the meeting time, so at 7:30 when we were all supposed to be meeting she was nowhere to be found, so our guide went looking for her!!! Everyone else went to the bus station, fully prepared to leave her behind... They actually made it in the end, then we got on the bus to find out it had no toilet, the seats didnt recline, there was only enough leg room for a baby, of which there were four in the row behind, WITH their parents, and they proceeded to cry and scream throughout most of the journey, with the parents also changing the stinking nappies on the bus!!! Basically one of the worst journeys EVER!!! Very happy to arrive in Sucre!
