First things first, I have some elephant related problems to solve!
Why did you not go and stop the mean animals from eating the elephant and letting it rest in peace? (Remember 'Oooh the cow in the medow goes mooo . . . ') Secondly, why did you not get out and help the baby elephants up the mud slope?! Go give 'em a push! And thirdly, they are the coolest animals and will never forget!
Glad to see you have managed to get JP to trim the beard Helen, not sure it is the best look though! It all looks amazing and sooo much fun. Obviously it is lots of fun here too, was in Poland last week for a few days and off to Weston-super-Mare tomorrow (joy!) all the fun and frollicking you could ever desire!

Sounds idyllic all this messing around in boats watching the world go by, you guys must be completely relaxed if that's the hardest thing you have to do all daybut I am confused I thought you where supposed to be driving every where. after all that distance and the punishment that you put the Landy through is there anything on it that still works? J.P. are you going to find your self a TV and a quiet place to reflect when England opens a big can of woopass on the Sringboks on the 14th.I hope that Helen is still cheering the right side after the engagement.Glad all is still wellCatch you soonTim

Hi girls,
Fantastic pics from South Luangwa pk, my Helen was fascinated at how close lions, elephants, zebras were.
I can`t believe how expensive it is in the reserves, but i suppose in a way it helps protect the wildlife by keeping hoards of tourists at bay.
Kim and Roland had a joint party up the road from Q1 on friday eve, a good night with sore heads all round i should imagine the following day.
All the best T
Helen And Steve
hi you two, fab pictures, love seeing what you've been up to, quick question though...who was driving the Landy through the river with the very steep bank and who was taking the picture?? That looked very scary and I'm sure I would have been freaking out! JP is very brave to be in the rivers knee deep too, what's that all about?!! Glad to see all your camping and cooking skills are coming to good use!
we are getting ready for the new arrival, 4 weeks to go, getting a bit nervous but v excited, will keep you posted!
Take care, love helen and Steve. xxx
Mum & Dad
We've finally been able to log on to the web site from Oz and have just spent an hour reading your blogs and viewing all the pictures from the 7th Aug.
You did a wise thing not going to the Serrengeti etc esp. with rip off banks, broken fuel tanks etc. The dirt tracks in SW Australia are immaculate compared to the ones you have traveled! Although we had to stop to help a man who had stranded his Land Rover in the centre of a small river just as the night had fallen. We were lucky to be passing because, no doubt like you, other travellers are few and far between.
We have just come back from 3 days in Sydney, quite worn out with walking but great sites. Just bought a pair of bordies to go with the pair of thongs (complete with built in bottle openers!) given to me by Tim & Kristie ready for my first surfing lesson. No crocs in these waters but I think that I will be feeling crock afterwards!
Glad you are having such a great time
Love M & D

Hiya guys,
What a fab selection of really great shots you have captured, i love reading about what you have been up to! Your both looking really well if not abit hairy JP, tanned, so relaxed on the swing Helen.... The hair raising moments make it all the more fun surely!!!
Lucy had her appt at GOS today, she has Arthritis, she already has some muscle wastage on her bad side, her meds have been doubled as they are worried about the long term swelling affecting her range of knee movement. Lucy is booked into have a steriod injection under GA (very scary) Consultant was extremely nice, i now feel at ease that she is in good hands and being looked after. She also needs an urgent eye test as her condition may cause eye problems if not detected early....
See you soon xxxxxx
