As you can see the Landy has had a makeover that even Trinny and Susannah would be proud of, we have lots of shiny new bits of kit; roll cage, roof rack, rock sliders and wheel carrier courtesy of exact fabrication. A lovely paint job provided by a nice local man called Bill. A roof tent from Rocky Mountain, a National Luna fridge (I must have somewhere to keep all my chocolate cool!) and a million and one other bits a pieces sourced from e-bay (J.P is an absolute demon at bargain hunting) or bought via the overland forums or from Sodbury (think a big field full of trade and car-boot type sellers of Land rover parts and accessories ? heaven if you are that way inclined). J.P has done all the hard work but I did have to do my fair share of heavy lifting, we carried the fridge for about a 20min trek across the show at Billing last year in the 80°f heat, luckily we were back before the thunderstorm and I had the job of hauling one end of the bumper back and forwards from the car park to the garden too! I wont bore you with all the details on the rest of the kit but if you are interested in the specifics don?t hesitate to contact us. We need to say a big Thank you for all the people that have helped us, particularly our families for their understanding and generosity and our neighbours, Clare and Emmet for all their help, especially getting the tent on the roof (it turns out I?m a bit short and I couldn?t reach) and the use of their shed! I?m sure there will also be plenty more thanks along the way. Not much else to do now, the Landy was packed and put in his container this morning to be shipped across to Cape Town, we have had all our injections (Ouch!), and just need to finish off some paperwork before we head off to join the Landy in S.A
