Hey homies, it's your dedicated blogger here. One day, we might even get Lizzie to write something on here! ;)
We're back at the hospital for our last week, and as there's nothing better to do, I thought I'd write again! Everyone is well - (if you remove the inevitable bowel problems from the equation) - and there haven't been any major mishaps since the last time I wrote. Apart from a few jellyfish stings while snorkelling yesterday - one to the upper lip for me and a couple to Andie's arms. Was utterly beautiful though, despite that! Lizzie enjoyed a day sipping Iced Moccachinos in the sunshine, until she was almost sick from coffee overload. So, adventures all round and only minor mishaps.
It's Ramadan atm, so the mosque is broadcasting 24/7. When we first arrived, it woke us daily with the 4am call to prayer, but now the loudspeakers set up around the town provide us with it every moment of every day.r! I have even been dreaming of the call to prayer - or maybe I just haven't slept properly since Ramadan started 3 weeks ago. I wish theyd play the Harry Potter audiobook instead!
We've also failed this week at our attempts to dress like Tanzi women. We had some dresses made by the local tailor which have turned out....rather questionably. Andie's is too small to get on, mine is a sack of green and yellow and Lizzie's..? Well, Lizzie's is perfect! Damn her! Perhaps mine and Andie's fashion designing skills weren't up to scratch but the creations have failed miserably! I had hoped that their experience with tailoring for the African booty would help them to tailor for my own ghetto booty, but I was sadly mistaken.( photos to follow...maybe) but I guess it was worth a go. I think our expectations of haute couture were a little too high.
Even our Swahili language is coming on! Won't give you an insight now as the mozzies have come out to play!
Byee!
