When In Rome...
Day two of the Vatican included a visit to the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel! It was great!
With our Ancient Rome class we visited the Pantheon, built byMarcus Agrippa, and the Piazza Navona. Piazza Navona was originally the site of the Stadium of Domitian, a Flavian ruler of Rome. It is also the site of the martyrdom of St. Agnes; in the 16th century Pope Innocent X had a church made to her in the Piazza and also commissioned Bernini to make the Fountain of the Four Rivers in the center of the Piazza.
We came home afterwards and studied for our exam tomorrow and packed to leave for PARIS this weekend!
