Day 80 Perth
A day of sightseeing today in and around Perth; we first tried to get my camera fixed but even though the Olympus warranty is international without the actual proof of purchase which is of course in the UK they say they can't do it, so much for that then. Next was a stop to the Vodafone repair centre where they were going to try a software download for me to hopefully correct the problem but then couldn't as their warranties aren't international and they can't access my UK account, absolutely hopeless!
We started with a walk along the Swan River and then took the ferry across to South Perth where we walked around for a while before getting the return back, and then it was the free Cat bus around Perth. We decided as we got to the railway station that we would get the train to Freemantle and as luck would have it there was one waiting at the platform which we managed to get by doing a quick sprint. Twenty minutes later we were wandering around the town which has been pretty well preserved with the original colonial buildings and is in complete contrast to the ultra modern CBD district of Perth. The journey back was a bit more crowded than the outgoing as hundreds of school kids from a large collection of schools boarded at various stops along the way. Not quite sure what tomorrow will bring, thinking maybe about a wine cruise or maybe the beach, at least over here we don't have to wait and see what the weather is like as it's a pretty constant 30 deg and sunny, lovely……..
