I was unable to get any Wi-Fi once I arrived in Zagreb, which was my last resort for getting the directions to the hostel I had booked. Trying to find a hostel with out the name or any directions was pointless.
I received a Lonely Planet guide to Eastern Europe for my birthday; it contained a small map of the centre of Zagreb which marked a few hostels. So I headed off to one in the small chance that was the one I had booked, it wasn't, but it was nice. Probably nicer than the one I had booked. They also told me the one I had booked was a long walk away. Something I couldn't be bothered doing after the s***ty day I've had. So I'm staying here for 3 nights instead. Right in the middle of town, overlooking the main square. Awesome.
I wasn't too sure what to expect of Zagreb. It is one place I didn't really research all that much and I were pleasantly surprised when I walked out of the station. It's a very clean, well manicured city with people everywhere. Even on a Sunday afternoon. It was still raining though, which pissed me off.But I should be used to that by now it had been 4 days straight. I'm hoping to visit the Plitvice National Park at some stage during my stay here so I hope the weather clears a bit (the forecast says it won't)

This probably won't be too coherent, I'm very hung-over and will be writing as things come back into my head.
Zagreb turned into the most random 3 days of my life. I saw none of the things I intended on seeing, including the Plitvice National Park. But, I was given a dog, named Ronnie. I was told not to let him off his leash, it was the first thing I did.I did pay a kid 50k to eat my spare change. I attended another Billy Idol show, he was playing with Pendulum. And have met some of the greatest people and had a great time with them.
A big group of people from the hostel decided to go out for a meal on Monday, we went to Medvedgrad. This place brews its own beer and has great meals. It was also incredibly cheap. I had 7 500ml beers a big bowl of beef goulash and shots honey brandy for about $20. Our bill ended covering 4 pieces of paper. The waiter sat at out table, had a beer and tried to add it up.
It rained for the first two days I was in Zagreb so I thought I'd wait for a nicer day to visit the National Park. I ended up drinking a lot the night before and was far too hung-over to do anything. So I just continued to drink. We were informed of a small music festival in Zagreb this week I wanted to check it out it turned out Billy Idol and Pendulum were playing last night so we went and picked up day tickets at about 7pm. I tried to invite an old lady on the tram to come and see Bill Idol (I was pissed) but she didn't want to party. The festival was great, Pendulum were absolutely amazing. My ears are still ringing. Billy Idol was fun too.
I'm currently sitting on a train heading for Dubrovnik, eating pizza and drinking coffee. It's about 8:30am. I have no idea what time I arrived home last night, but some random Croat drove me and a friend back to the hostel after Billy Idol. I should be heading to Split because I couldn't get a room in Dubrovnik, but I've decided to try my luck when I arrive. The weather has cleared up, so if worse comes to worse I'll sleep in the beach.
