Reluctantly leaving Pienza we went towards the sea side. We made a stop at Sant´Antimo church located in the valley, again with beautiful scenery. In the afternoon we reached the town of Talamone and the hotel Talamone camping village. We got a cabin close to the pool overlooking the sea. During the 2 days there we spent most of the time by the pool. The sea was too cold and Talamone town had obviously closed for the season. We later found out that the hotel was closing the week after, which kind of explained the slow and not optimal service from some of the staff. In any case we had a nice and relaxing two days before heading back home to Monza. Actually before coming back we stopped in three different small town that all were really nice. The first one, Bolgheri, is famous for it´s wine which is pretty obvious since the only thing they sell is wine, more or less. From Bolgheri we went not very far to another, not so famous, town called Bibbona. In Bibbona we found one of the best restaurants on the trip where we enjoyed pappardelle con ragu. Buono! The third town was San Gimignano, famous for its towers. The towers were many as was the leather… Around midnight we arrived at home in Monza.
