Yesterday we met up with Kerry and Darryl at Mt. Barnett station and drove to the Campground near the King Edward River crossing. We spent last night at the Silent Grove camping area, 10km south of Bell Gorge. The last 2 camping areas we stayed at are looked after by NP Rangers, they have clean septic toilets and solar-powered hot showers. It costs $26 per family per night. Last night we drive to Windjana Gorge NP and set up camp. This morning we explored the gorge - the rocks here are from an ancient reef (Devonian Reef). It is quite beautiful and this morning we saw Freshwater crocodiles sunning on the edge of the creek. Wow wow wow. What a fantastic day! We got up early, got coffee and drove across the Derby jetty; then onto the Derby airport for our 8:30 Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventure!
