Lauterbrunnen is spectacular! It is in a valley and the campsite we stayed in had snow capped mountains facing it, on each side of the mountains close by there were waterfalls every few meters from each other (which just got more beautiful as the rain got heavier), they call it the valley of 74 waterfalls. The second day was Jason’s birthday =-) we hired bikes in the morning and rode to the outskirts of town (which took like 5 minutes). The colour of the river is this amazing emerald green which is because it stems from glacial ice (just magnificent). In the afternoon, we caught the bus to Lauterbrunnen which only took about an hour to get to, pitched our tent up and drank a bottle of wine to celebrate.

Bern is the capital of Switzerland, it was freaky crossing the border as it is not part of the EU they have a border check with guards that have guns, they’re quite intimidating! The first day in Bern, we walked around and just took in the awesome scenery and the 15 odd fountains they have (you pretty much can’t walk 20 meters without running into a fountain).

Today we walked from the hostel into the city centre, it took us just over an hour to get to Cathedral Notre Dam (Church of our lady), we looked inside and saw a bit of the service, they were speaking French, so we don’t know what was going on, it’s a beautiful Gothic church with stained glass panes and some amazing pieces of art. We did not do much while in Stuttgart, first day we went to the Mercedes Benz museum, it’s absolutely huge! There’s about 6 levels, the bottom level is where it all started and has the very first concept car, there’s also a section that tells you what happened within those years, it was a very interesting museum (for a car museum!). Unfortunately (for us) the first day was a big catholic public holiday, so all the shops were shut so we didn’t do anything...
