We had three main goals for our visit to Brussels.
1) Sample a few (many) delicious Belgian beers
2) Try some world famous Belgian chocolate
3) Eat a waffle
Obviously we accomplished all three in a timely matter. Finding bars that have over 2000 different kinds of beer and streets with waffle stands and chocolate shops as far as the eye can see.
We wandered down the old cobblestone streets and organized our own city tour, stopping for a pint here or snack there. Visiting all the recommended sights and talked about cathedrals. Brussels has been really good to us but our time here was up.
Next stop is the Hoegaarden Brewery (pronounced who-gar-den and also kyle and channys favourite beer!!) in the tiny town of Hoegaarden, Belgium. We had an insightful tour which included the history of the town and brewery, the whole brewing process and was followed a few very tasty samples. A little known fact that Hoegaarden actually has 6 different beers, but only exports their original and best known wheat beer. Our favourite was the Citron flavour. Every sip makes you feel like you sitting on a sun soaked patio on a hot summer day.
After becoming Hoegaarden experts we hit the road. Next stop, Bruges (pronounced brouge (as in the french word for red with a b in front)) where we planned to meet up with Andy, Dennis and John. I can already feel the hang over...

Alissa Jongsma Very insightful - correct pronunciation and all, I'm impressed. Are you sure Channy's not writing these?!
