Kya Travels
We woke up today, got ready then headed out. We went for a walk along the waterfront then through the old town a while before heading to a restaurant, Maslina, that we had gone to before the cruise. We got a lasagne and cheese gnocchi with mushrooms and shared them both, with some delicious warm Turkish bread. It was so good. When we left we walked past the statue of the tea cup and went into the tea shop, which smelt delicious!! We bought a bag of tea that's good for bronchial problems, and a tea strainer, then kept walking through town. We made our way down to the bus station for some information on busses to Kotor, Montenegro, then went back to the hostel. We chilled out for a while using the wifi and had a cup of our new tea which was delicious, then watched some music TV in our room and had a snooze. When we woke up, we went down to the supermarket, intending to buy a heap of vegetables to make a stir fry. But when we got there, they only had the tiniest range of veggies, so I had to give up on that idea! We bought some juice, coke and chocolate which we dropped back at the hostel before going down to Konoba Lučac for dinner. I couldn't possibly eat any more pizza or pasta, (which is about the extent of vegetarian cuisine in Croatia!) so I got some soup and veggies, Darren got a pasta and we shared some chips. After dinner we headed back to the hostel, where the receptionist, Gorana gave us some vodka that had been left by other guests over time, so we shared some drinks with her, then had a chat with a couple of French girls while watching the Croatian Music TV channel, which was pretty funny! We decided we wanted to finally put the stickers on our guitar, which we had been putting off just in case we lost the guitar at another airport or something! It was looking pretty cool by the time we were finished! At midnight, Gorana's shift finished, and we went out with her, where we met her boyfriend, Vlad, and all went for a drive together out to the forest outside of town. We went down to the water, where we found a nice spot to park and hung out having a few drinks and looking out over the pretty, dark water. There was a small fishing boat with a big light on the front doing laps around the rocks, and you could see the lighthouses blinking on the islands too. It was very nice. We had a good chat with the two of them, before heading back. We stopped by a club that had a 'trash party' happening, where they play a bunch of 90's music and dress up badly, but in the end we decided not to go, because Vlad was working early, so they were going to go home, and we didn't really want to go to a night club by ourselves! So they dropped us back at the hostel, and we said goodbye before heading in to bed.
