Today was another relaxing day on Playa Blanca, we were keen to get out of the hammocks and lie on the beach! Mine was quite sandy and neither of us had the most comfortable night's sleep. We had ham and cheese crepes for breakfast which were a bit strange as the crepes were really sweet. The beach was quiet again in the morning so we decided to do some snorkelling before most people arrived, we saw a school of hundreds of yellow fish and a couple of bigger ones, as well as the small black and striped ones we saw yesterday.
We had a roller coaster boat ride back to Cartagena, our stomachs were left way behind! We arrived back looking a little rosy and had the best shower so far after two days of sea water and no proper shower. As we hadn't had great food on the island we treated ourselves to the Italian restaurant again as we knew we'd be guaranteed a good meal. Nathan had pizza yet again and i had spag bol! We sat in the busy square for a short while afterwards before heading back to the hostel, Nathan had this sweet crumpet type thing from one of the street vendors. There was more of a breeze this evening which was nice after the heat of the last couple of days. We met a Chilean guy sharing our dorm who is travelling South America for 8 months doing a documentary about local food, called 'Cooking the Continent'. Sounds like a fun way to travel!
