WE MADE IT ALIVE!!!!!
We have made it to Hanoi alive- after an experience and a half in Bangkok we have flown up to Hanoi
Bangkok was full of early starts to cram in as much as possible- which ended up in HOURS of walking in unbearable heat- but the temples and budda statues were worth the mad dashes across busy highways- we learnt that the greenman doesnt mean its safe to walk- it just means its a safer time to attempt to try.
Finding statues of Budda as tall as 15m and also heaps of spare car parts nearly as tall we carried on to the grand palace and as its name says it is pretty grand!
Food is ACE not sure how long the novealty of Thai food will last but so far we are loving it!
Hanoi is alot smaller than Bangkok but possible has quadruple the amount of motorbikes all going in different direction on one road and yes we have after many attempts following old people across roads managed to do it ourselves (virtual high five!) its beautiful if you take away the pollution and crazyness of the traffic. we also learnt that not matter how many people you have in your family you can all fit on one moped whilst guiding a cow along and breast feeding!
Saw a traditional water puppet show- well parts of it- between us we saw the whole thing but I think lack of sleep was catchin up and snoring was heard throughout the theatre (guess who?)
after yet another yummy meal we are off to bed for another fun packed day of exploring the city that should be known as SMOG and then off on a 3 day rock climbing tour of Halong Bay so will update when we feel the strength back in our arms (so about a month from now!)
hope all is good at home
Well done Ireland BEATING THE English

Love
