Been a while, but thought we'd give a little update.
We last wrote from Vietnam, since then we've passed through Cambodia and we're now in Malaysia. So as you can guess alot has happened...
Cambodia...
Did the typical route through Cambodia, Phomn Penh - museums and Palace. Siem Reip - picked up a straggler in Kieron (proved to be a good drinking buddy!), tuk tuk around the Angkor sites. However these cultural things were over shadowed by Ireland Winning the Grand Slam which lead to a few too many drinks and a hangover which lasted days. but will never forget Cambodia for this fact, causing us to be locked out of our hostel as they don't like people arriving back at 3 am so we had to scale the walls like burglars before before the sun rose.
Travelled back into Thailand and headed straight to Kanchanaburi to see the bridge over the River Kwai and the history behind it all. The following day we hired a car, allowing Kieron chauffeur us, managed to make it out of the town alive and make it up to Erawn Waterfalls. After trekking in the heat, these turned out to be no more than a trickle :-( so we headed onto the Tiger Temple, where we saw...tigers...surprise!!
Next the trio headed to Ko Tao for a bit of sun, sea and no surfing...but we did a bit of canoeing having parted ways with Kieron to then meet up with Richard in Phuket...we don't recommend a visit to Phuket!!!
Three of us headed onto to Phi Phi were we did some climbing, randomly bumped into the straggler Kieron and yet again ended reliving the Irish Grand Slam antics but this time at a beach party. Our time meeting up with Richard was short but sweet as our visas ran out.
Yet another bus journey to Penang, Malaysia, where the rain has followed us AGAIN and where we are writing this blog before we head on to Perhentian Islands at 5 AM tomorrow morning, so we shall say good night, love to all, peas and fairy cakes.
