Dear Katy, have at long last got around to looking at your blog. All well here lots of discusting English weather as usual. Seems like you are having a fab time. Hope the van is behaving itself at present. Have you driven it yet ? Looking forward to seeing some pictures of my niece soon please. Mary who is 70 this year can you believe has been in discussions with us oldies and we have finally managed to agree a date to celebrate (lunch at hers) 3rd August. So we look forward to having you'll to stay for the weekend. Adam has finally got a part time job working at Wetherspoons in East Grinstead, he is on 5 Weeks probation. He certainly needs the money ! He had a very exciting day last Monday. He has been sending off his CV to all sorts of Film Cos. He got a call from Ealing Studios the previous week asking for him to work last Monday. Film called THE OTHER MAN. Actors : Liam Neeson, Laura Linney (The American actress in LOVE ACTUALLY who was madly in love with the young man in the office & her mobile kept ringing (always her brother who was several sandwiches short) on the other end. & Antonio Banderas !!!! Directed by Sir Richard Eyre who has directed amongst others (STAGE BEAUTY & NOTES ON A SCANDEL - Both of which Tim Hatley who lived next door until 2 years ago did the costume design for) he was also the producer for ATONEMENT. Adam will tell you more about it when we see you I am sure. Liam & Laura were being filmed that day. I had my diary free incase Antonio was there, sadly they didn't require him that day !! Hope you continue to have a fab time, be happy and safe. Love from your Auntie Fiona. xx
Dad
Hey Kate - no news, I hope all is well with you. Mum has sorted the car tax issue for the moment anyway.
I know you like a laugh at your Dad's expense. I think we told you taht Karen and I went to the Goood Show, with her parents and brother in December. As we drove in, we saw a sign for a Westlife Concert there in March 2008, at which point Karen made a comment 'oh you know they are one of my favourite bands'. The problem was I didnt know she was being sarcastic. So I bought tickets and only found out afterwards that she really didnt likle them. So I tried to sell teh tickets on e bay, but no one wanted them. So we ended up having to go (last Wednesday). We had the Macdonald brothers (ex X factor), as a warm up, then Westlife for 2.5 hours. Acctually they were pretty good and we had fun. No other great news here, still v busy at work, although teh practice has been quiet this month (hopefullt temporary).
I hope everything is ok with you. Please let me know.
Love as ever

Hi Katy
I'm pleased you have met up with Lucy Fox. The hot springs sound amazing, and the fruit too.
I am sorry about the website but all I got was a blank form and I didn't know any details to fill in.
I've just picked up Sarah Jane from Swindon and we have had supper. tomorrow there is a meeting of everyone down King Street to discuss the water pipes. THe water board have agreed to pay half. After that we are meeting Suzi at Waterside for coffee and SJs present and then going to Cribbs (it was pay day today).
I am ill again. Just like before. It started as a cold which SJ and Mike had but I have felt quite unwell with it. Roll on some better weather.
Lots of love Mum

Hi Kate really glad to hear the van is fixed, I hope it stays that way. Sounds like you are having a really great time - the geothermic hot spa sounds just the trick. Can you bring me one home, it would be good for my old aching bones. Been to the gym a bit. I was down at Langford (University of Bristol) today, then Slimbridge. They are having a major rebuild there and have put in a canoe trail, which opens at easter. I know how you love canoeing - so I thought of you. Picking upBear tomorrow, but on call all week, after a whole w/e on duty, so exhausted. We have an additional surgeon arriving soon , so I ahve been busy trying to convert a dinning room at the resident house into an extra bedroom. Off to Ikea tomorrow morning to get some finishing touches
Have fun and take care

Great pics. Got your text in the middle of the night, didn't realise until this morning and too busy at work to look at your blog. Can you send some pictures of you next time? The van looks great; I don't know what Alice was eating out of that tin but her face tells a story, she didn't think much to it!
Yesterday Possum had a huge abscess behind his ear and I had to take him to Dad's surgery. He was very sorry for himself. He has vanished tonight, I don't suppose he wants his medicine. Julian said he had been in his house most of the day.
SJ is on half term Thurs and Fri and Dad is bringing her back on Wednesday. I'm going out for a drink with Suzi to the Brit tomorrow night which should be nice.
Compared to what you are doing it all seems very boring here but it must be nice for you to hear from us whatever we're doing.
Take care, lots of love, Mum.

Hi darling - thanks for the text at 1.30 am the other day. It was actually valentines day and I had set teh alarm for a bit earlier that day so I could phone Karen before she left home for work. So when I got woken up frpm a deep sleep, by a strange noise, I assumed it was the alarm and promptly phoned Karen at 1.30 in the morning - luckily I didnt manage to wake her.
However I am sure you nare right, and taht I would love it there. Everything else here is pretty routine. Now 1035pm Sunday night and just had a call for another emergency - at least it means we can pay the bills.
I had a burst water pipe at the house yesterday, but fortunately between house and garage and I managed to fix myself today.
Your cullinery exploits sound fascinating - and as for getting stuck on the beach !!! very lucky. But then of course 'damsels in distress can get away with anything.
Have fun and be careful
Love Dad

It sounds wonderful. You could have lost your van completely! Have you driven yet? How about some pics?
Cats have not been very well this week, but I think they are picking up now. At least we haven't had any mice in ...
Beautiful sunny day but cold; picked up SJ last night and we went to the Crown at Frampton Mansell.
Very busy week at work. Taken out for lunch on Valentine's day with a very handsome man, own house, own teeth, pity hes 93. Going to publish his book.
We're off to buy a fish for SJ Birthday. Chiltern have said she can have one - she wants to put in a salamander as well - here we go again!
Not much happening here. Bank at back of house doesn't need much doing to it. Water pipe still not mended. Nothing changes.
