My sleep wasnt too bad considering. we were on aeroplane like seats but they reclined quite far. The journey was meant to take 12hrs but it took 14hrs ( our guide said it took him 16 1/2 hrs once)
We arrived into Aswan and transferred to our hotel. After freshening up we went to the high dam and saw how the dam had formed a lake which spans through to Sudan.
We then caught a motor boat across to an island where the Philae temple was situated. The boat left the wharf crashing into many boats on the way it was a bit like dodgems .
The temple was amazing it had a roman feeling to it. we learnt how the temple had been relocated from another island.
our next stop was at a gallery and we got a demonstration on how they make the painting by using a plant.
for dinner 7 of us went to a Nubian village for a traditional meal. we took a motor boat down the nile to the village. the house we ate at, had a huge lounge type area ( were they had pet crocidiles) we sat down and helped ourself to the different foods which were all tasty . we took the boat back and we had some nubian people singing dancingand [playing their instruments they got us all up dancing we arrived back at 10pm
