Yesterday was a full day! We went on some hikes and roasted marshmallows, had some fire issues (couln't keep one going), so we called it a night once it got dark. We left the redwoods at around 10:30 this morning, and took the PCH down to Salt Point SP. It was slow going (icky, winding roads), and we arrived just in time for sunset. It's freezing here! Well, it's a lot colder than we're used to anyway...

Mickey doesn't like this place. Everywhere you look things are dying. the trees, the grass.... but if you look closely, there is life here. I think this is the perfect picture of our very different personalities. The instant we arrived, Mickey saw an ugly, dead place... But I sat quietly, waiting for the beauty I know God places everywhere. Eventually he saw a little of it too.
