Yesterday we went to the beach a arranged and encountered our first rain. It was quite nice but put an end to sandcastles on the beach so we spent the afternoon eating and shopping.
Today we all went to Hong Kong. Jennie and Sam went to Stanley market and left myself and Alex with the 4 kids. It was some challenge keeping all the kids together through the shopping malls to the underground station. This was Poppy and Noah's first trip on the underground and they just kept asking where Underground Ernie was (if you don't have kids this won't mean much to you). We had lunch in the open air restaurant in Hong Kong park and had a look at the Koi carp and turtles swimming in the lake. After a couple of hours here we decided to head home. That again was a challenge with all 4 kids now tired and fed up but we managed to get them into the taxi, on the ferry and on the bus the other side without any major disasters. Myself and Alex are quite proud of our efforts but we are exhausted now. However Alex and Sam have gone to a concert in Kowloon tonight nad have arranged a baby sitter so myself and Jennie will be enjoying a rare meal out. Lets hope we don't get too carried away as it's Noah's 2nd birthday tomorrow and we fly to Aukland at 9pm so it will be another long day.
I hope all is well back home and I will update you sometime from New Zealand. 6 weeks in a camper van.......... should be fun!
