Merry Christmas Everyone,
We hope that you all had a fantastic Christmas with family and friends.
We have been flat out since our last update. After Washington, we headed to Boston for 5 days. Boston is a fantastic city and reminded us a lot of the cities back home. Upon arriving in Boston and then catching the train to our hotel, we left the platform and stepped straight into a foot of snow! Boston had just had a major snow storm which covered the city. It was a fantastic experience to walk through such fresh snow, so fresh that it hadn't been cleared off the footpaths and people's bikes were frozen inside the giant mounds of snow covering the bike racks!
We did another free walking tour of Boston, which was great. Learnt a lot about the history of Boston and the american revolution. They didn't speak too kindly of the British during the tour and skipped over the sections were the Americans were in the wrong. Classic.
The food in Boston was amazing. Completely unhealthy but so good. After the tour we went into Quincy's market, which is a market about 60 mts long full of about 30 different food stores. Amazing. It took us about 30mins to decide what to have as there was just too much to choose from. We also did a tour of Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox.
Currently in New York until Sunday before heading up to Montreal for New Years. We have a couple more things too knock off the list here before we leave, so will make a NYC post when we get to Montreal.
Take care and hope everyone has a fantastic New Years.
