Our first border crossing, Brasil into Argentina couldn't’t have been easier we decided to take a taxi over the border due to the torrential rain and one of the many thunder storms during our stay in Brasil. We reached the border handed our passports to the passport control through the taxi window got a stamp and drove off, there were no questions or forms.
After seeing the falls from a distance in Brasil we now had the opportunity to get up close and take a boat trip into the falls. The power of the falls is incredible with an average of 553 cubic feet per second thundering down 269 feet, definitely a sight which has to been seen to be appreciated. The boat trip in the falls was WET and exhilarating, after visiting some of the smaller waterfalls to take photos and we neared the main huge waterfall of Iguassu, we stopped for a few minutes while the crew on the boat prepared for what was coming. Next thing we knew we had entered the vicinity of the fall, where there is no chance of staying dry or keeping our eyes open due to the force of the water. We remained soggy for the rest of the afternoon which came as a relief in such a hot and humid area.
As for the town of Puerto Iguassu there is not much to be said, other than visiting the falls there is nothing to do or see so we prepare to head south to Buenos Aires.
