Hey everyone, we are in queenstown at the moment, the extreme sports capital of the world. Jo did her first bungy jump a couple of hours ago, she really enjoyed it.
The glacier walk was really good, it was beautiful but quite hard work. Some of the steps they cut into the ice were really steep and quite slippery. We were wearing boots and crampons. There are caves that appear and disappear every day and we walked through some of them. I only did the half day hike, jo did the full day.
After franz josef we went to lake wanaka for a night. We have formed a group of 11 from the kiwi bus. 3 scottish girls, 2 scottish guys, an irish girl, an irish guy, a danish guy, a girl from essex and me and jo. They are all so nice, its been great spending time with people for longer than a couple of days. Me and jo are staying 7 nights in queenstown and most of the others are staying 5. We are planning to meet up with the 2 scottish guys in the usa because they will be there at the same time.
I forgot to say i went jetboating in westport, which was good fun, got absolutley soaked. Yestesday we all got a cable car up a mountain and sent luging, which is basically go-karting down the mountain (not all the way). Good fun but a bit scary on the turns.
Tomorrow morning i watch jo do her nevis bungy jump (134m) and then in the afternoon i am going paragliding....can't wait.
Christine i haven't seen any lord of the rings characters but yesterday we went to puzzling world which has lots of optical illusions, Got a pic of me and jo looking like frodo and gandolf (height wise).
Thank you for your messages, love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
