Hey everyone. On free internet right now, but the system is set up so you can't upload photos...rubbish! But soon i promise.

We are in byron bay now, got a coach last night from sydney, took 12 1/2 hours and i don't think i slept that much. Byron has a gorgeous beach, unfortunately you end up with sand everywhere. Everything is within walking distance which is good, and our hostel seems fairly decent.

When we stayed at jo's bosses, son's house it was awesome. We didn't have to pay for a thing, and chris and his gf jill are so nice. And their house is gorgeous, all open plan downstairs and they have a pool. Twice i went in the downstairs toilet and both times there were spiders, don't think they were poisonous though. must remember to check under the toilet seat.

Exciting to hear about the earthquake, i'm glad no-one was hurt. Sounds like some of you felt it more than others.

Our next stop is surfer's paradise, apparently there is an instructor that will give you your money back if you haven't stood up on your board by the end of the lesson. Might give it a go.
