hello everyone sorry this has taken a while been very busy and havnt been able to get on a computer for a while.

got to rio last saturday. travelled around the city going to st teresa a old district in rio where i did an insane tram ride through and ocasionaly walking into street parties. had the most bizarre tube journey ever i was on a carrige filled with people enjoying the mardigra atmosphere dressed in fake plastic brests and poll dancing on the hand holds very bizarre! the second night was spent in parade for the carnival i was in the samba school of miguara was incredible and it felt like i was in a suna for a good few hours! my costume was a mix between apocolipto and the ultimate warrior from wwf. the next day explored some more of the city including going up the corcovado to see the christ the redeemer statue and went to bahah beach then went to the sambadrome again this time to watch the carnival didint get back to the apartment until all the schools had finished and it was light at 6:45 the next morning! stared my main tour of the trip and travelled to parati a beautiful small colonial town wondered around the place trying to find cashmaschines that accepted my card and then went on a boat travelling around to small islands and swimming in the sea. hand a 18 hour bus journey to the pantanal wetlands which just bigger then france is the biggest wetlands in the world beats the fens anyday! the animals there were amazing and i saw snakes, deer, parrots including macaws and toucans! held a caimen croc (lots of them everywhere) and slept in hammocks for two nights. went horse riding in the wet lands (tended to be up to my knees in water, did some parana fishing waste deep in the water with my fishing rod a few feet from me. got two of them and and had them for dinner taste a bit like kentucky fried chicken! did a walk in the wet land (tendfed to be nipple height wading through water) and this is where i got bitten by fire ants.... b******s! (pardon my french) also there are mosies everywhere and i think iv lost a good amount of blood over the past couple of days! a group of us played the brazilian guide´s at football. apparently they had only lost once in ten years against a tour group and the last team they played they beat the other team 32:2. we proceded to beat them twice 1:0 and then 2:1 (extra time and i scored the winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) they werent happy. now am in bonito to go snorkeling and many more fun things its cooled down a bit to 29 degrees and its not as humid either. i have also become hugly addicted to a drink called açai which is a fruit that has more vitamen c content then any other fruit beautiful!
