A day of SURVIVAL

André tackled the crazy challenge given to drive a motorcycle in a crazy city 80km in total!!!

We decided to test the biking on these roads - obviously with André acting as driver and sam sitting comfortably on the back.

Well, it was hair-raising to start, but by the time we handed the bike back, André was a local! We took a drive out to the Phnom Penh "Zoo"....well, if you can call it that.

These poor animals were all caged up and not well looked after...even though it has been claimed that they have been taken back from Poachers. It seemed to be more of a spot to look after the locals so that they could try and sell the foreighners food to feed the poor things.

Cost 10USD for us to get in and we actually got out as fast as we could. We did see cute orangatngs and other monkeys, a big snake, and some bears......nothing compared to to our wildlife though.

Next Move

Taking the express baot to Chau Doc tomorrow (Vietnam) - visas sorted and picked up today.

Feeling kinda home sick for creature comforts / loved ones....although eating out for every meal sounds glorified - it is kinde getting a bit boring now and thinking that a stukkie vleis op 'n braai klink lekker!

Something that made us smile, keeping up the spirits, was that a beauitful dragonfly landed on the headsets at our PC we are sitting at at the moment.....a random thing to happen amidt the crazyness of the city.

Here we come VIETNAM! Or should we say...."Good Morning Vietnaaaaaaaaam...."?
