Im on my last stop on my trek across europe! Im in Paris france the city of lights. I picked France to go to becuase i went when i was in 3rd grade and i have wanted to go back ever since. I landed in the Charles de guel airport rode the metro in to town. On the metro a man was playing the accordining an dit was a wonderful start to my trip in France.
June 13-24 2013 I have been doing lots of stuff in the past week, On my first day i went to the Palace Versailles, where the Queen of France Marie Antonente once lived, Marie was famous for saying let them eat cake, refering to the burnt part of the bread in the oven. Then the next day i went on a river cruise on the Seine river.
Then the day folling that i went to the Lourve Museum where the Mona Lisa and other famouse paintings live. Outside of the Lourve they have really cool glass pyramids, that stand tall. Then I walked threw the Twillerie Gardens to the Arc De Triumph, built by Napollion Bonipart.
The next day i went to the Notre Dame Cathederal. The have gargoyles that serve a purpose has gutters that let the water out when it rains. They also are pretty cool decorations. Notre Dame also has flying butchresses and two bell towers. Outside the bell towers they have lots of pigeons, to feed and they also fly and land on your hand.
Then the day after that i walked the Chapms Elysees, and walked around the great shops and resturants. Then I went and had dinner as a picanic in the park Chaps de Mars, by the Effiel Tower. After the sun fell got in the noticable shorter line for the elavater to the first level of the Effiel tower. On the first level I went to the movie theatre and watch a 5 minute video, manely previews. Then i went to the second level by stairs. On the second level i wakled the and read the little history plaques and stopped by the gifted shop, I got a glass tower, with a light up bass.To the third and final level. I was on top, and the veiws were spectacular. It made me realise that Paris is really the city of lights.
The next day i woke uo early to get in line for a tour of the French catacombs. I waited in line for maybe one and a half hours. When i got in the catacombs it was amazing and a little creepy. The skulls made patterns some times. They also made sculptures. I thought the patterns were really cool. So was the long hallways made of bones.
Then the fowlling day i went the France Miniature. The France mini is a miniature midel of Paris. You can walk around as a giant in the model Paris. The next day i went to the twilerie gardens and boated in a fountian. At the fountian a man was renting boats that you would poke with a wooden can around the fountian.
Im a cyclist, and i was in Parsi at the time of the finish of the Tour de France. Perhaps the biggest race in cycling. I was a spectator by the Arc de truimph. After the racers finished I watched the award ceromony, where first prize was awared to Bradley Wiggins agian. Then second a third prize went to the Andy Shcleck and Frank Shcleck. After the excitment was over i went on a vespa toure of the city.
The next day i went to Cleopatras needle. Thye needle is a very tall tower with a gold point. The day after that i learned to fly! I have always wanted to learn to fly. I learned to fly at night so i could see the lights agian. It is my last day in Paris. Tomarrow I will be in Chamonix to skii, because the snow is so bad in Colorado. Today i went to the air and space musuem. I saw the exhibits on the spaceships and the exhibit on the airplanes.
