We went scuba diving today on 'The Great Barrier Reef' the weather wasn't good so the boat trip out there was quite rocky. We did two dives and neither of us has ever dived before so that was an experience in itself!! The diving equipment was surprisingly easy to get used to and would definatately do it again, although I don't think the sights from Bournemouth pier would be quite the same!! We saw so many different types of fish and coral - it was amazing!! We touched massive clam type things which felt really smooth and shut when you touched them and we held a sea cucumber (which evidently looks nothing like a cucumber!!)

Anyways, we have decided to stay in Cairns for the rest of the week as there doesn't seem much point in changing our flights to New Zealand. We have some great pics of our trip on the reef but cannot downlaod them on this computer but we will as soon as we can.
