Hello!!!
What a mad few days. I guess i should start at the beginning...
Wednesday night i went and watched some Thail boxing, it was AMAZING!! We managed to get ring side seats so we had a perfect view. It was brutal mind, brutal but amazing lol Lauren (One of the girls i met) actually got splattered with blood when one of the female fighters cut the others forehead open with a single punch! The atmosphere was great too, people really got in to it cheering and chanting. I loved every second! After me, Bekka, Sue, Emma, Lousie, Sandra, Kirstie, Will, Lauren, Ava, Reese and a few others went to a club called AC. It was great, we watched the fire dancer before dancing away into the small hours of the morning! Much fun was by all.
Toni, the girl who i was travelling with went home friday morning and is now back in the uk so i'm now offically travelling solo lol Its quite scarey, the thought of doing the rest of the trip on my own is very daunting but i'm excited and it will be an amazing challenge for me. I'm having my up and down days but there mostly up i'm pleased to say. I fly to Oz on the 26th so i have lots to look forward to.
On sunday morning i went scuba snorkling and scuba diving again and i saw a baby shark!!! It made my day, it was like a mini jaws!
I'm now travelling with Sue. We left Koh Tao on sunday after noon. Our sleeper train was at half 7 sunday night but it was delayed 3 hours!!! Thai people can be rather annoying as no one tells you anything, i lost my temper a few times with the guy at the so called information point! Anyway the train did finally arrived and went it did i half wished it had been cancalled. IT WAS CRAWLING! We got on and we were the only western people on the carriage. It seems we had made a mistake booking only for a carriage with only a fan, we watched all the other tourists go into the air conditoned carriage with envy lol Everyone on our carriage was thai and they were transporting mainly food. No idea y. Anyway there was ants everywhere and it smelt rather bad. I felt sick and gagged when i saw the amount of ants crawling round one of the cardboard boxes!! Me and Sue go into our bunks and tried to sleep but it was awful. I practically slept on my ruck sack i was that afraid to touch the sheets lol I was so pleased to get off the next morning. We booked our next train to Chiang Mai and amde sure it was air conditoned lol
We had to stay in Bangkok till 6 which was when our train was due to depart so we decided to go to the weekend market. It was MASSIVE. They have over 8000 stalls and they sell anything you can imagine. Before me and Sue attempted to join the rat race we had a morning nap in the park opposite which was nice and relaxing. We then tried the market again and sum how ended up in the animal side. I have never seen anything like it. There were fish in plastica bags and the water only just covered the fish, it was so cruel. They were selling frogs, turtles, lizards, (BIG lizards), then we saw baby rabbits. They had dressed them in little outfits, it was so cruel, they were so young. Then we saw squreals (cnt spell it lol) chained to cages by there necks so they couldn't move. It was awful to see. Then we saw puppies, huskie dogs, andrex puppies. None of these animals had any water and the dogs were panting so hard. We escaped quick sharpe after seeing all that. It was really sad to see.
Anyway we got our train at 6 and im pleased to say it was clean and nice! I had a really goods night sleep, went to bed at 8! This morning we got the bus to a place called Pai. Its north of Chiang Mai. The bus journey was three hours long, but the views were amazing, we climbed right to the tops of the hills, it was beautiful. I didn't want the journey to end! We finally arrived at half 1. Pai is a beautiful town, the people are so laid back and relaxed. We checked into Mr Jan's guest house and then began exploring. We rented motorbikes out again because its the cheapest and best way to see everything. We visited a waterfall, a bridge built in world war two and a temple before finally returning to town.
Tomorrow i'm going white water rafting!!! Can't wait.
I shall keep you updated. Missing everyone very much.
Lots of love
