Hello Readers,
This is going to be a mini tester blog. So I can just get to grips with this site and what it is to be a blogger.
Firstly Im going to apologise for spelling, this site doesnt have a handy ABC button.
As most of you are aware Sarah and I are 'off exploring' next year. In 50days to be exact. I've created this blog so you guys can catch up on what we're upto. Facebook get rammed with so much rubbish I thought this would be a much better idea. You can send me messages, look at photos and videos.
When we booked our trip back in June Sarah and I also recieved free tickets to paris on the euro-star. At the time I thought it was a lovely jesture but the tickets would probably be one of those things you never cash in on.
But we did, and here's a little breakdown of what we got upto:
The 2 night 2 day trip was a great introduction to spending time together and organising ourselves. Our train to paris wasn't untill the evening so we went up early to london and went to a pub had some lunch and our photo taken at platform 9 3/4. After getting the train to paris we had to find our way to the hostel, which on the map looked like a comfortable 20minute walk, it turned out to be a hot tiring near hour walk through dodgy parts of town at night-time. We stayed at the St. Christopher Hostel, which I can/will recommend to everyone. The hostel was big, new and clean. With a outside eating area on the canal, the rooms were large and modern, they would need to be large as we were sharing with 6 others. In our room were 2 Australian girls traveling together, an American guy, a Canadian girl and another loone ozzy ( soon to be our friend connie ).
We managed to see all the majour tourist attractions like the Eiffle Tower, Arc De Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, the Moulin Rouge, Notre dam and the Sacre-coeur on monte mart. Sarah had been to paris before and came across the Catacombes which we went to. Very creepy place, everything you'd expect. Damp dripping ceilings, atmostpheric lighting and a shed load of skulls and bones. I know its not something everyone would choose to do in the most romantic city in the world, but hey, me and Sarah weren't exactly there to get loved up together.
Even though it was a whirl-wind trip we managed to meet some great people, see some great sights and take home many great stories.
Thank you for reading this blog. THEY'RE GONNA GET BETTER.
Kirsty x :)
