I'm a now in Ottawa! I arrived early this afternoon.
The bus from Montreal only took just over 2 hours. I got talking to the guy sat next to me and asked him about the bus I need to take to my hostel. Buses here only accept the correct money and only coins no notes so I was asking if he knew how much the bus would be! He told me it's not far to walk to the hostel and he was going the same way so would walk with me. I thought why not I prefer walking than getting the bus anyway! FORTY FIVE minutes later I arrived at my hostel! It was really hot as well I was sweating!! I checked in to my cell!! Yes I am staying in a converted jail! It's pretty creepy as they haven't really changed anything! The room has 2 bunk beds and there is hardly any room at all! In the room on my own which is a bit scary to be honest!! I'm on the 6th floor and I had to go to the 4th floor to shower!!
I went for a wonder and as the sun was shining and I was wearing shorts for the first time, only because I'd already been out and knew it was shorts weather the last few days I'd put jeans on but it was way too hot!! I decided to sit outside and have a pub lunch! Fish and chips!! Yum yum I've been craving them for ages! I found an amazing chocolate shop that had the biggest toffee/caramel apples ever!!
Ottawa is a pretty cool city lots of nice buildings, loads of pubs! I don't think there is a huge amount to really do here though! I'm only here for the night and I think that's enough time!
I meet a lady Vic who was in my room in Toronto at the hostel! We were both saying how different it is travelling now and how no one really talks to anyone unless you are in the same room!!
There is a free tour of the hostel tomorrow at 11 so I'm going to do that. I don't think I'd want to stay another night once I hear stories of what happened here!!
Night xx
