So we spoke about an hour ago and it's good to hear that you are having fun. I still can't picture you fruit picking to be honest but it makes me smile thinking about it! Like I said, all those A's for your apples will hold you in good stead for the future. You can put that in prime position on your CV etc..! Anyway you're only getting top grade apples because your supervisor fancies you, I bet you just bat your eyelids and get what you want. It would (sorry did) work for me. Having said that, I did eat a particularly succulent braeburn only yesterday and I could tell that you had picked it. honest.
Well I KNOW that you are in bed now but prob not asleep. You should really get some rest before your day in the apple factory. FL should really know how jealous I am.
I think we all need to see some more pictures of you so if you could take a break (your supervisor will let you I'm sure (eyelids)) then get onto it and post some on this website.
I've finished nav phase of flying now and only have 8 trips left which shoud only take a couple of weeks. I'll let you know when I finish and when I move to Chivenor. Like I said, when you get back we're going on a tour of Cornwall (camping!) it's a good place you will love it I promise.
Missing you loads,
love nick x

Oh my gosh Taz, i cant believe you know Hamish! What a small world. He's so lovely and he showed me the ropes. Plus he always moved my crate for me so i didnt have to walk too far to empty the apples into it! lol. Unfortunately its been raining really heavily the last couple of days (Nobodies allowed to laugh!) so i havent been able to do any more but hopefully i'll pick it up again at some point.
Lots of love to everyone

Well look at you. How jealous am I, the photos that i have seen of you show you are having a wonderful time. You could maybe do your own rendition of the Sound of Music and sing "the hills are alive" on one of those mountains in New Zealand. Spoke to your Mum today at work and she told me what you were up to. Looks great make the most of it. Bon Voyage Mel

Hi Kirsty, just had a chance to catch up with your last few entries,I'm so pleased that Tim Jo and Ben were able to look after you, I can't believe it was 20 years go that I first met Jo!
I'm glad you got a job apple picking. Is it at Johnny Appleseed by any chance? Ask Hamish if he has a pilots licence and knows Kip Netherclift. If you are stuck for a night out, try "The Happy Tav" in Havelock North or "Vidals " wine bar on the way in to Hastings.
Sky diving? MAD girl!!!!!
For more adventure head to Queenstown on South Island - you can do ALL SORTS of scary stuff there.
When you get back towards AKL, if you have a few pare days and want to head to Waheike Island then let me know as "Wilkie" says she will put you up for a few days. You'll love her and her 2 girls.
Anyway, happy travels and keep the journal/photos coming :-)
Lotsa luv,
Taz

Hello you
It was lovely to speak to you and Rosemary this morning. We're glad you've found a job, even if it is extremely hard work, it's all a good experience but I'm sure you will be glad to do something a little less physically demanding. We are really looking forward to the weekend and flying to Spain for our holiday. Love you lots xx

Hello Kirsty, thanks for the card and I'm happy to see that you have found some work, so you don't spend all your time enjoying yourself. The rest of us have to work, so why shouldn't you - ha ha. Your mum told me she was very happy she didn't have to send you more cash!! . As Grandad has said - Waitrose will have the NZ apples soon - well, Waitrose would have the best but as I shop in Tesco I may not get to eat one that you picked.....ah well, when I am rich I can shop in better places!! Well, everyone is jealous of you, being there in the sun, while England has dull, grey, cold days.......Don't work too hard, and take care!! Love you *Favourite Uncle* xxx
