Buenos Aires, Argentina
Finally landed on time after over 17 hours since leaving Heathrow, to be met by Bunny at Ezeiza airport in Buenos Aires. She drove us to her place in San Martin, which is in the Province part of BA, outside the Capital Federal...Buenos Aires traffic is an experience which is hard to describe...abject fear a lot of the time! Her house is lovely...hidden behind a fence and the automatic garage door is a little haven from the busy streets of San Martin. I was greeted by 2 very excited dogs and her nephew who stays with her and we went inside for me to recover a bit.
First things first, we had lunch...a bife (steak) just to start things off as they´d undoubtedly continue lol. Then, after a shower, we went for a wander and bought some supplies. At one stall, Bunny asked the market trader about something on his stall and he spent ages talking away about it, but all the time talking to me rather than her...I just kept smiling and nodding...I have no idea if he realised that I couldn´t understand a word he was saying but I think I got away with it. Back to the house and we had tea and mate sitting in the garden...a great way to wind down after a hectic couple of days travelling.
