Hello all!

Finally have a few mins to update this thing. We're in Pai at the moment which is north thailand. It is absolutely amazing, beautiful scenery and lovely people with a laid back atmosphere. Everything we thought Thailand would be. We've hired a motorbike for the last 4 days (Jouni has been in his element) and visited some amazing waterfalls, the largest cave system in Thailand (bit eery and it was filled with bats!), a breathtaking canyon and a stunning lake which was surrounded by the mountains and very warm to swim in. It has also been good to visit local villages and get away from the commercial routes (well slightly away!). We are staying in a wooden hut on stilts and at nighttime it is really amazing to hear all the crickets etc (nice to hear them but equally glad they cant get in!), also there are geckos everywhere. Have met some more people here and also met with friends from our trekking down south so a few cocktails have been had (and yes James and Laura, card games a plenty have been played!!).

We leave Pai tonight for Chiang Rai which is further North; we're hoping to stay there for a few dyas and then take a boat trip to Laos.
